Love life, live and laugh at it

For anyone that lives in this world that isn’t ignorant, we’re aware life is hard. It is. It’s tough. Mainly because (especially in the West) we’re overly emotional and allow ourselves to dwell and get stressed out over mediocre things and reasons. Reflecting on exactly why we’re down, if we have any sense we come to terms with the fact that we’re worrying about nothing. If there is any solution to a given problem, we as individuals need to reach that epiphany ourselves and quickly so as not to let time fall through our fingers and pain and depression prevail.

Despite whatever you’re going through, worrying, stressing out and dwelling is not the answer. Examine the issue carefully, looking only for solutions and then implement them.

Whether you’re around for over a hundred years, or only ten, savour every moment. Life is short, regardless of it’s actual length and tomorrow is never promised today.

Love the variety and richness that experience life can bring. Live; eat, drink, socialize, experience and grow! And of course, laugh at the bullshit.

Making Decisions, how long does it take?

That question evokes the old “How long is a piece of string?” response.

Essentially a lot of us are extremely guilty of procrastinating. It’s easy to make an excuse, so why don’t we just do that? Well, results. If you want them, you shouldn’t waste the little time you have. Those that actually succeed and get what they want in life don’t sit on their arses and hope, they move forward and try to implement their ideas into their lives.

They say that it takes 21 days to form a habit, and 16 repetitions of something verbally to commit it to memory (of course these will both vary depending on your background). But all you really need to do is decide.

Maybe your will-power isn’t that strong… Many people suffer from that. But there’s only one person that can be responsible for that change, and that’s you, the individual.

The best way I’ve found to commit to myself, is to write it down clearly, in a bold form and place it somewhere in which it can’t be ignored, neither by myself nor those close. If it’s correctly and clearly placed before you, then you have to acknowledge it. You’re forced to understand that you’re dealing with it, or not paying attention, and as a result, hopefully if you’re lacking in will power, it will encourage a change.

Eventually, the aim is to throw away the reminder and just control yourself and your actions upon your own whims.

But just decide, it truly is that easy. Make your powerful mind up, and stick to it.

“How To Feel Good” The most complicated things made easy… Suggestion – music?

“How To Feel Good” The most complicated things made easy… Suggestion – music?

If you’re unfortunate enough to be a member of the human race, then every now and again you’ll suffer from bouts of depression or feeling low. Maybe this applies to other species too, but I have no firsthand experience being anything but a human male.

A valuable, simple tip for helping someone feeling down perk up is music. Yup, we’ve all heard that cliche, listen to some good music and it’ll make your spirits lift. But I’m not referring to what your average person defines as “good” music. I’m referring to songs that make you smile and feel happy, maybe a song from your past that you used to sing all the time, maybe it’s something you’ve been listening to recently, whatever it is, indulge.

Sing it as loud as you can, and dance away if you choose.

Depending on your comfort level, do it in private or in public, whatever makes you happy. Essentially you need to feel good, and as long as you’re not hurting anyone else, who cares what you do?

My personal pick, with my lowered mood at the moment was Tony Toni Tone’s “Let’s Get Down” featuring DJ Quik. It brought me back to my mid-teens, sitting in front of “The Box” music channel and loving the sounds and setup of that video.

Wine before beer or Beer before wine or Beer before liquor

Wine before beer or Beer before wine or Beer before liquor…

They say that Beer before liquor and you’re “in the shitter” or “never sicker”; ie if you drink beer before drinking harder alcohol, it’s more of a risk to your body. There’s also “Liquor before beer and you’re in the clear.”

But they don’t often state whether wine should be consumed before beer or the reverse.

Well, Genius Impatience is here to clear that up for you. “Drink your beer before your wine and you’ll be fine.” Actually, that’s not necessarily true other than in our experience.

The fact is, according to the Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control – it really doesn’t make a difference. So our advice here is irrelevant, but the saying’s are amusing.
